GUNDOGAN ON TARGET AGAINST ENGLAND
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan scored one of the goals as Germany and hike team England enjoyed a six-goal thriller in a UEFA Nations League clash played at the start of this week. The City star was one of the five goalscorers during the Group A3 game. He was the recipient of the opening goal of the game.
After a goalless affair in the first half, it took just seven second half minutes for four-time world champions Germany to take the lead through a well-taken penalty from the aforementioned Gundogan. He tucked away the spot kick after the much-maligned Harry Maguire was penalised for a foul on young Jamal Musiala in the England box. The Germans doubled their lead on 67 minutes when Chelsea player Kai Havertz scored the best goal of the game as he left Nick Pope in the England goal with no chance of saving his shot fromoutside the box. …
